Gets little snow????

Last time I was there we had about 10inches of fresh snow driving in and it snowed another 6 inches during the day (which made getting back up the Big Hill a major chore) . How did you like the Ghost. It really is a nice place to climb.

speaking of guess the climb, I have no idea where this is. It's an internet ad for UConn's MBA program. Don't ask me what the hell climbing has to do with an MBA. Also, you'd think they could choose a Connecticut climb. This doesn't look like anyplace in CT I've climbed (but I could be wrong).

Doesn't look like Outer Limits (5.10b p1) (this is Outer Limits). It definately is at the Cookie, but looks more like Red Zinger (5.11d) which is what I will be warming up on tomorrow.

Ok that pic sucks in trying to get to a small enough data file so lets try this one

Well, the way the locals explained it to us, the Ghost gets snow but also gets Chinook winds. The winds tend to scour the snow. Thus there are often snow drifts to battle on the drive in, but rarely do you have to posthole on an approach. I'd guess all bets are off during a snow storm, but we were told that after a dump, you have to worry about drifts on the drive in, but very little on the approaches.

I thought the Ghost was wonderful. Climb after climb after climb, and all in the most beautiful setting.

Yea, well...those 30' icefalls we were doing in the rugged, beautiful Catskills the other day were pretty sweet too.
