Atop Irene's, after the 5.10a final pitch. Recall from my TR that we had waited out a storm to finish this pitch. Behind me you can the second storm cell moving in rapidly. The epic began not long after.

Yes, depending on who's guidebook you read (I think one rates the "scary, no pro" move at 5.8, the other calls it 5.9). It felt like all of 5.9. We also did the 5.9 variation to the third pitch.

Unfortunately, the climbing areas on/around Mt Lemmon were closed due to the fires. They opened up the highway up into the mountains for the first time this past week. Since I couldn't climb (I was in Tucson for only a week), I went hiking. Here is a view from the summit of Mt Wrightson, a 9500 ft peak south of Tucson, looking north. It's always neat to climb from the desert up through deciduous forests up to piney woods.
