Has anyone had any experience with an AMGA TRSM course through one of the local guiding companies?

I don't think that course exists any more. It has been renamed and upgraded to the single-pitch instructor course, http://amga.com/programs/SPI.php .

Marty runs a good show; the course should be fine.

If not for the guiding potential, that course is an excellent way to improve your anchor and rescue skills.
