Incredible!!!!! Really amazing. Good roof technique, too. Nice heel hook at the end!

That thing with the dropped bird feed and the pigeons also happened to Honnold on Moonlight Buttress.

I really think this silent film puts modern CGI stuff like Mission Impossible to shame. Every time his foot slips off your heart is in your mouth.

One correction - Mission Impossible was not done with CGI. The recent film with Tom Cruise 123 stories off the ground in Dubai was filmed with RGI, just like the other one where he is climbing in the desert (MI2? MI3? MI-5? MI-Losing-It?)

(RGI - my phrase for Reality Generated Imagery)

On the other hand, Nordwand (the German film North Face that also came out in recent years, notable for being a heckuvalot more accurate in the climbing details than most films) did involve a fair bit of CGI, though I don't know details.
