Got on this route today-- could not find the "belay" at the top of P2. Is it still there and we missed it? There was what looked like a jerry rigged rap station to the right, (piece of webbing, a gear sling, biners) but it was not anywhere near where the guidebook described its location. We built an anchor, not a problem, but I was just curious if we were off route. Also for P3, the guidebook says to climb up and pass a chimney trough. Does not say which way. We went right, and it felt harder than a 5.4. Off route again???

Did you study the route photo? That should help locate P3 (you say "does not say which way").

Yes but I could not identify where the "chimney trough" was on the picture to determine if the line went to the right or left of it. Thanks though!

There has not been a fixed anchor atop p. 2 of Dry Martini since at least 2005.
