I'm astonished and impressed. Are these bears so hurting for food as to seek it up high?

Last year some big fat annoying scary bear climbed up 20' of 5.9 to almost completely gobble down my food. After watching this video I am really freaking out. ... But perhaps these bears have more practice since they can do this over water.

Looking at the text under the video field, I read that the cliff is at the Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park. I was there some years ago and examined the Santa Elena Limestone at the cliff face. Its quality is far from excellent. These are some bears!
