PopNot. I researched pop-up killers after I got a new system this fall, and my favorite (PopUpKiller) was no longer available. PopNot is like $20, but it's clearly the best one out there. Consider it a donation to a worthwhile cause.
Internet Junkbuster - it's an ad-blocker, and it cuts downloading time by tons when I'm dialing up ('cause it rejects loading a page of useless graphics). Man do I not miss seeing ads! Use the original (junkbuster), not the substitute (guidescope).
The internet is a different place with these two things!

there was a thread awhile back about Netscape 7 and Mozilla popup-busting. It turns out that the option to block popups is missing from Netscape 7 but can be enabled by adding the same string that enables it in Mozilla, to the prefs.js file for Netscape 7...

If you're using Netscape 7.0 or later, try adding the following to the "prefs.js" file, located in ...Application Data/Netscape/Profiles/blah/blah - on a Win2000/WinXP, this is located under c:\Documents and Settings
