Do you mean while visiting the site itself? Or after you leave it? I never get any popups while I'm here - maybe because I'm using Netscape and a Mac?

try to find ad-aware? helps get that crap off your computer. addeath supposedly blocks advertisements, but it doesnt seem to do a damn thing.

there was a thread awhile back about Netscape 7 and Mozilla popup-busting. It turns out that the option to block popups is missing from Netscape 7 but can be enabled by adding the same string that enables it in Mozilla, to the prefs.js file for Netscape 7...

If you're using Netscape 7.0 or later, try adding the following to the "prefs.js" file, located in ...Application Data/Netscape/Profiles/blah/blah - on a Win2000/WinXP, this is located under c:\Documents and Settings
user_pref("dom.disable_open_during_load", true);

I researched pop-up killers after I got a new system this fall, and my favorite (PopUpKiller) was no longer available. You can download PopUp Killer at sourceforge. You can find more info at the temporary site here.

Hey I clicked the link Pop Up Killer, downloaded the program, installed and turned on the smart feature, but still get pop ups. Any recommendations?? For example, Weather.com has a advertisement on it's opening page that always takes over till you can find the close tab. That still keeps coming up and wheneer I sign on to hotmail I can close it and there's some advertisement window up behind it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or any other pop up killer programs you'd recommend instead? Thanks.

you can add pop ups to it, open up the PUK window and see if its listed on the detected pop-up list, if it is you can just double click it and click add to block list.
if it isnt detected you can add pop-ups by their window name but that is trickier but still easy
