anyone done this? where is the best place to pick it up? wondering if it will be too hot to do some of it, with the heat wave we are having.

I've done about 1/2 of it along the West side of the lake. It it a super hike. I think a good place to pick it up is at Emerald Bay at the Southwest corner of the lake. Water is not a problem along the West side, but may be a problem along the East side in the summer. All the hiking I have done along the trail was from Late November to early March so the heat wasn't a problem. Have fun.
