Packs - 02/22/09 06:54 PM

After roughly 10 years of hard use on 7 continents, my beloved North Face Ski Patrol Pack has to be retired. Some of the key stitches are failing and it's time to sew the last patch on to it and hang it up in the blue room.

This pack has been my main rock and ice cragging pack. It's also done the very little bit of mountaineering I've done, and I use it for backpacking trips of up to 4 days.

So, I'm on the market for a new one!

Recommendations, please.

And, I will need to be strongly convinced to go with CiloGear as I have one and several stitches have failed and the d-ring things, while clever, have generally been annoying to keep track of.

Thanks in advance.

So many variables to consider...

With hundreds of packs out there, best to know more or less what you are looking for first.

All of the relevant information to help me pick a pack is there, based on the usage of my previous pack.
