Waterworks Status?

Waterworks Status? - 04/30/13 05:45 PM

Kinda weird, when I do a search for the Waterworks bouldering area all I get are two-year-old stories about fundraising and weekly Saturday tours until the sale is completed.

So what's the status? Was the sale completed? Is there access? There ought to be something on the GCC site or fb page.

when the tours start back up you may be able to sign up and get more info here http://www.eventbrite.com/directory?q=waterworks&loc=rosendale%2C+ny&page=1

So the tours stopped? Are you saying they are expected to start again?

Seth,

The "tours" have been seasonal. The Preserve had a limit of ten people per day with an escort. There's private land all about the area and the Preserve wants to keep it low key so as not to ruffle any feathers.
The eventbrite site was to register for the "tour" so the body count could be kept to ten.
It appears the Preserve will forego the escort this season, but will keep the registration requirement intact.
There are some rope climbs there, somewhat comparable to Dickie Barre. Lotsa pebble wrestlin though.

Okay thanks for the info. Sounds much smaller than I thought it was.
