Routes for fat tourists - 08/16/12 08:31 AM

Anybody want to recommend some routes for a fat tourist who can't climb that would be awesome in October?

the gunks isn't for tourists. go for a nice long hike, perhaps with a dyneema 30L backpack.

put a guide book in some sort of ninja type pocket, and get on some hidden gems, like miss bailey, or some fun to set up top ropes on the mantle block.

I call troll. You should be climbing harder than that, unless you're asking for climbs to take me on. In which case you need to more effectively communicate your visit.

Worst packs ever!

Probably. But you forgot dumb. laugh

talus, it'll be a date. I love my tramp stamp. smile

seriously though, any suggestions for still there 5.4 to 5.9 that are off the beaten path or that are so classic that I forgot to do them when I lived back yonder?

I'll definitely do p1 of erect direction to keep on struttin or moonlight, but I'd love to have other folks thoughts...

so far, we've sat in the rain and drank at the brauhaus. laurel/rhodedendron/bunny. I can't believe I'd never climbed bunny before. I'll probably never climb it again either (with a rope...). Arrow. P1 Erect Direction with about 43 pieces of gear. And the direct version of CCK.

Will it be dry tomorrow? Will age defeat fingerboard? Or do we just wanna have fun?
