no parking on shoulder in Stony Clove? - 01/09/06 07:07 PM

A friend was at Stony Clove this weekend. He said parking was no longer permitted on the shoulder, and was limited to the lot by the lake. Any info?

The posted signs are a "no parking between arrows" signs and the arrows end a couple hundred feet down hill from the east crag. So, you can park on the shoulder down there. It isn't bad to do if you are going to climb at the East Crag.

Drove by Sunday. Forget parking (Lot was full and then some as only ½ of it was plowed). As mentioned by strat you need to walk a little but most of all bring a BIG shovel. You need to carve out a hole out of the 4’ snow bank to park.
