Utah season - still going...

I went up to the Uintahs this weekend - Mirror Lake highway about 35 miles past Kamas. Still good snow left, and it snowed hard while I was up there. I bootpacked a hell of a long way up an untracked snowfield and got pretty good turns on fairly hard but not icy snow. Other snowfields had lots of tracks, and there is pretty much 0 avy danger out there right now.

There is still also some good skiing in the alps if you go high enough. I am planning a ski tour of Mont Blanc this weekend. Should be able to ski from the summit down to 1700 m. I just hope I can go. I twisted my knee hiking from the snow line to my car last weekend after skiing Piz Medel.
